ST Liew
ST Liew is Vice President of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and President of Qualcomm’s business in Taiwan and South East Asia. In this role, Liew is responsible for leading all business and operations functions for Qualcomm in these regions. Prior to this, Liew served as Vice President and President of Qualcomm Taiwan. Liew has more than 30 years of experience leading business and engineering teams in the telecommunications industry. Most recently, Liew was President of Acer Smart Product Business Group and Co-President of Acer’s BYOC New Business Group, which focused on smartphones, tablets and wearable devices. Under his leadership, smartphone and tablet volumes grew several folds. Prior to that, Liew was the Associate Vice President of Acer’s EMEA Smartphone Business Unit.
Before joining Acer, Liew worked at Motorola where he held several business and technical roles, including leading Motorola’s design centers as well as in product management, product development, manufacturing and test engineering. Liew spent many years in Motorola responsible for a variety of R&D projects ranging from walkie-talkie, pagers and cellular products in markets throughout the world.
Liew received his MBA from the National University of Singapore, and holds a BSc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK.

Dr. Tri-Rung Yew
Prof. T.R. Yew had worked as head of the Advanced Technology Development (ATD) at UMC focused on 14nm FinFET and beyond. She received her PhD degree from the department of Materials Science and Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1990. She then joined Materials Science Center at National Tsing-Hua University (NTHU) to continue her research on low temperature Si epitaxial growth and poly-Si on SiO2 by PECVD. In 1995, she joined United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) in the R&D division for the technology development of advanced modules and process integration, covering the technology nodes from 0.25um to 65nm and beyond. She was a deputy director at Central R&D division when she left UMC in 2003.
To integrate her industrial experience with academic research and teaching, she joined the department of Materials Science and Engineering at NTHU in 2004, as an associate professor. During 2008-2009, she took a year leave to be a technology VP at Archers Inc., developing PECVD process for Si thin film solar cells. She also has been a consultant and then the CTO at Solar Applied Materials during 2019-2012, leading an initiative to developing energy and advanced PV materials. In Jan. 2013, as a professor at NTHU-MSE, she is also on-leave as a VP at UMC, leading Customer Engineering first and then ATD focused on 28nm and 14nm FinFET till now. Her research focuses include advanced semiconductor processing & integration, nano-electronics, flexible electronics, nano/bio-materials, bio- sensing/imaging, and solar cells.
Her publications include 84 international journal papers and 95 conference papers covering nano-/bio- technologies and semiconductors. She holds 139 patents with 260 certificates granted. Honorary awards she received include “Outstanding Youth Award” in 1998, “Outstanding Youth Electronic Engineer Award” in 1999, “ROC National Invention Gold Medal Award” in 2000, and “Top 10 Distinguished Engineer Award in 2001” during 1998-2001, and “Outstanding Teaching Award” from Engineering College of NTHU in 2007 and 2011, “Outstanding Teaching Award” from NTHU in 2008 and 2012, “Outstanding Teacher Award” from Engineering College of NTHU in 2010, and ‘’ROC National Invention Silver Medal Award”

Sari Marsden
Sari Marsden is a certified executive coach, an elite Nike trainer, and co-author of “Fit to Lead”, a groundbreaking book that emphasises the role of the body in leadership and performance. She is unusual in the fitness industry because she is also a Professional Certified Coach accredited by the International Coach Federation. Her expertise lies in facilitating leadership development, peak performance, executive presence, somatic intelligence and wellness.
Sari has dedicated herself to coaching for more than 10 years and she has worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures throughout Asia, in both corporate and personal contexts. Her passion is to work with leaders to develop their capacity through the alignment of physical, emotional and mental states. In addition to improved performance, her clients report a shift in the way they see the world and the way they hold their body, often resulting in increased ‘executive presence’ and authenticity.
Sari is also an NASM-certified personal trainer, corrective exercise and fitness nutrition specialist. Her passion for fitness has led her to become an elite trainer for the Nike Training Club in Southeast Asia and she has won Gold Medals in international fitness physique competitions. She has been recognised for her role as a champion of women who lead with purpose in the 2018 Portraits of Women project, a special collaboration between Women In Asia, TEDxSingapore and the National Library Board of Singapore. Sari also contributes to her community via volunteering to work with youths with learning difficulties in a local vocational school.
Her particular passion lies in working with women such that they embrace their strength and beauty to produce powerful and sustainable results in their lives. As a leadership coach and also an international fitness physique champion, she understands what it takes to create true confidence, from the physical, mental, and emotional states.

Intern – Product Test Engineering
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated Is the world largest fabless semiconductor manufacturer of Digital, RF, RFFE, PMIC, and Analog products serving the Mobile (4G LTE, 5G), Connectivity, Compute, Automotive and the Internet of Things (IOT) markets. Product and Test Engineering (PTE) is offering exciting internship opportunities which apply DFT strategies, design principles, and test concepts into real world semiconductor applications. Digital Product Test Development Engineer
Product and Test Engineering (PTE) is looking for Digital Test Engineers who will create test solutions in support of New Product Introduction (Silicon Validation and Characterization) and Manufacturing Enablement of Qualcomm Silicon on Chip (SOC) products. The position offers growth/specialization opportunities within Digital Test Engineering (Mixed Signal, Microprocessors, HSIO, Logic, Memory, DFT, DFM, Machine Learning, SW Development), adjacent disciplines (Yield Management, Diagnostics, Product Engineering) or other product families (PMIC, RF, RFEE). As a Product Test Engineer, you will create Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) code/test methods and participate in data reviews which will require close collaboration with Design, Design for Test (DFT), Process, Product, and Manufacturing Engineers.

RF Product and Test Development Engineer
Development of ATE test solutions used for validation, characterization, and production. Must have strong skills and RF understanding for cellular applications. In product design phase, working with design engineering to ensure product testability including DFT. Make recommendation for the selection of appropriate ATE platform for optimal test cost and throughput. Establish correlation between ATE and bench measurements and transferring to production. Generate documentation for all pertinent procedures and write clear and concise specifications, reports and instructions. Effectively present technical information Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques Strong functional understanding and working knowledge of test equipment (i.e.- power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power meters, vector network analyzer).

CPU Architecture and Performance
The main responsibility of this position is to improve performance and power/area efficiency of world-class microprocessor for mobile and portable computers. The potential areas to work include:

Bench Testing Engineer
The QCT Product & Test group has an opening for a mmWave / RF / PMIC Bench Engineer to help with the bring up and debug of silicon bench test solutions including test hardware (ie PCBs) used for the verification, characterization and production screening of highly integrated mobile mmWave/RF receivers, transmitters, transceivers, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, Charger, ADC, and voltage regulators designed internally by Qualcomm. The employee will be responsible for supporting mmWave/RF/PMIC bench test system development and maintenance, assembling mmWave/ RF/PMIC bench test systems, configuring test equipment and PCB hardware for specific measurements, calibrating bench test systems, RF matching on test hardware using Smith charts, performing radiated and conducted measurements, working with other Bench Test Engineers, IC Design Engineers, Systems Engineers, and Product Engineers to plan, coordinate and execute bench test activities.

Digital System Level Test Engineer
The Digital system level test group is responsible for characterizing system performance for Qualcomm leading-edge Snapdragon products in the most advanced processes. In this role you will be member of a team working on IC design review, IC hardware testing, software, system engineering, and customer applications. Responsibilities for this position include working with engineering teams for early stage silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation efforts., work with software teams to evaluate integrated system performance, test and characterize HW/SW interaction, device performance at various operating conditions (voltage, process and thermal), work with the production test teams to develop effective production screens for system level issues. The individual selected for the position, needs to be proactive, able to work in a fast paced dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work at times as an individual contributor and be passionate about delivering quality work.

RF System Level Test Engineer
The system level test group is responsible for characterizing RF system performance for Qualcomm leading-edge Snapdragon products in the most advanced processes. In this role you will be member of a team working developing characterization and high-volume production test solutions for RF Wireless products. Qualcomms System Level Test Team in Taiwan Hsinchu facility is seeking a candidate with a thorough understanding of RF Measurement and Test solutions for wireless communication products in the Mobile ecosystem. As a member of a multi-disciplined Engineering team the RF System Level Test Engineer roles and responsibilities will encompass development of RF focused test programs for device characterization, reliability testing and high-volume production. The role requires extensive cross functional collaboration with ASIC, Systems, Hardware, Software, and Firmware Design Engineers.This engineer is expected to have strong foundational knowledge wrt RF spectral measurements (ACLR, EVM, NF, Sensitivity, etc.) and antenna to baseband architectures, preferably using Qualcomms chipsets. Familiarity with 2G/3G/4G/5G WAN protocols, 3GPP Industry standards and the critical transceiver/PA performance requirements and phone level calibration algorithms is critical. The candidates ability to continuously communicate in a timely and clear manner, organize effectively and document work thoroughly is paramount.

Product and Test Development Engineer
The PMIC Product Development and Test Engineering group is responsible for activities of the full product life cycle. Activities include pre-silicon phase such as driving design for test and manufacturability, test plans, etc.; new product introduction (NPI) phase such as development of automated test equipment (ATE) test solutions, verification and validation of silicon performance; production phase such as driving down costs through test time reduction and yield improvement and high customer quality. This group has openings for both ATE Test Engineering and Product Engineering positions.
ATE Test Engineer
Job responsibilities for this position include design and debug of test interface HW, test SW development, HW/SW integration, characterization test, releasing cost effective production test solutions into mass production, and test time reduction activities.
Product Engineer
Job responsibilities for this position include developing product verification and test plans, silicon verification and characterization, bench testing and device issue debug, data analysis for device performance and functional compliance, developing device qualification solution, and driving test cost, yield, and quality improvements.
