SW Application Engineer, Android
To join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with world leading Internet of Everything (i.e any forms of IoT devices such as smart cameras, wearables, smart assistants, robots, auto infotainments or drones device makers from design &develop to commercially launch exciting new Qualcomm MSM products. These Core BSP & Multimedia Customer Engineers are expected to: -Understand every aspects of customers' IoT requirements and designs - To communicate with internal product & development teams on any HW/SW design related issues/features from customer designs - To work with customers development teams in resolving any IoT feature development and product commercialization issues.
• Proficient in coding with C/C++, and experience in assembly
• Good knowledge of Linux/Android OS, multi-thread, data structures and basic algorithms
• Good knowledge of Application Processor (e.g. ARM Cortex-M/A serial) architecture, multi-core, functional DSPs and lots of Peripherals
• Professional in low level Linux Kernel Drivers, Device Tree (DTS), Driver Framework development and debugging
• Professional in Qualcomm Linux/Android AUDIO subsystem
o Familiar with Android Audio framework, Middleware, HAL
o Capability to port Audio Driver and bring up Audio feature on Linux/Android Platform based on current audio driver
o ALSA foundation and be capable of doing customization.
o Understand Qualcomm WCD/PMIC Audio Codec system for AMIC/DMIC/SPK/Headphone and be able to bring up itself and basic troubleshooting.
• Having the following skills is a plus
o Understand how to implement application with Qualcomm Fluence PRO(SVA/Sound Tracking) Andorid/LE SW API provided.
o Know how to integrated 3’rd party Codec/AMP with Qualcomm Audio Interface and do the corresponding change on Audio HAL.
